<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic composition which is lead-free, has high piezoelectric characteristics and high dielectric characteristics, and is excellent, especially, in at least one of piezoelectric d<SB>31</SB>constant, dielectric constant, dielectric loss, and Curie temperature Tc; to provide a method for producing the same; and to provide a piezoelectric element using the piezoelectric ceramic composition. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic composition mainly consists of a compound represented by general formula: (Li<SB>x</SB>(K<SB>1-y</SB>Na<SB>y</SB>)<SB>1-x</SB>)<SB>a</SB>(Nb<SB>1-z-w</SB>Ta<SB>z</SB>Sb<SB>w</SB>)<SB>b</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, (wherein x, y, z, w, a, and b are in the ranges: 0<x≤0.2, 0.05≤y≤1, 0<z≤0.4, 0<w≤0.2, a≥0.95 and b≤1.05, respectively).
