<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid driving device for surely suppressing a shift shock in a shift operation from a gear ratio under selection to a much larger gear ratio. <P>SOLUTION: The output torque of an MG2 starts to increase from a time t4 in order to raise the number of revolutions MRN2 of the MG2 to the target number of revolutions (low speed step number of revolution NLG) corresponding to a low speed step Lo. In an inertial phase (period α), the output torque of the MG2 is limited so as not to exceed a first limit value TLIM1 to be determined according to a shift progress level PRG and a second limit value TLIM2 to be determined according to margin number of revolutions NEmgn. In the end of an inertial phase (period α), the output torque of the MG2 is made sufficiently small so that output fluctuation to be caused in a time t6 when torque-down is executed to the MG2 can be reduced.
