<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barcode reading mechanism and a barcode reading method, capable of saving an operation for adjusting the optical axis of illuminating light of a reading unit by enabling reading of a barcode by moving the position of the optical axis of the illuminating light in the longitudinal direction of bars constituting the barcode. <P>SOLUTION: The mechanism includes the reading unit 21 including a light emission part 21b which emits the illuminating light to the barcode and a light receiving part 21a which receives reflected light of the illuminating light from the barcode; a support member 23 turnably supporting the reading unit 21 through a turning shaft 24 so as to move the position of the optical axis of the illuminating light in the longitudinal direction of bars constituting the barcode; and a roller 27 and a slope 28b for moving the optical axis of the illuminating light in the longitudinal direction of the bars by turning the reading unit 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
