The invention relates to a method for producing an applied titanium-magnesium catalyst used for synthesising an ultra-high molecular polyethylene by means of a method for suspension polymerisation of ethylene in a hydrocarbon solvent. The inventive method for producing a catalyst, containing a titanium compound on a magnesium-containing carrier, consists in interacting the solution of a magnesium-containing compound of Mg(C<SUB>6</SUB>H<SUB>5</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>·nMgCl<SUB>2</SUB>·mR<SUB>2</SUB>O, wherein n=0.37-0.7, m= 1-2, R<SUB>2</SUB>O is simple ether with R=i-Am, n-Bu, with a silicon compound, wherein said silicon compound is embodied intheform of a product obtainable by the interaction of a R<SUP>1</SUP> <SUB>k</SUB>S |
