<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image excellent in color reproducibility in a full-color image forming apparatus in which collected color toner mixed of several kinds of color toner is recycled and used. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, a toner recycling device which restores the collected color toner obtained by collecting a color toner image formed by superimposing monochrome toner images formed by a plurality of developing devices from an intermediate transfer belt to a developing device for black has: a toner ratio detection means 810 detecting the ratio of each color toner in the collected color toner; a mixed toner amount calculation means 820 calculating the mixed component of each color so that the ratio of each color toner other than black toner in the collected color toner may be a predetermined ratio based on a result of detection by the toner ratio detection means 810; and a toner pattern forming means 830 forming each color toner pattern based on a result of calculation by the mixed toner amount calculation means.
