Roller moves perpendicular to its axis of rotation and has a drive motor which moves in common with a changeable roller. An independent claim is also included for an inking or dampening system containing the above cylinder. Preferred Features: The roller is positioned in pivoting levers and the drive motor is arranged on one of the levers and is able to pivot with the chargeable roller. A changeable drive is arranged on the face of the roller lying opposite a rotating drive.
