METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING VIDEO SERVICE AND SERVICE USING VOIP CALL CONCURRENTLY

A method and an apparatus for providing a video service and a communication service using a VOiP(Voice over Internet Protocol) concurrently are provided to transmit a video data of VOD(Video On Demand) to a media server so as to transmit/receive voice communication without interruption of the picture service and to provide both voice communication and video services. A transmitting terminal(710) and a media server(720) set a VOD(Video On Demand) session(401). A VOD sound data is transmitted(405). A session of a VOiP(Voice over Internet Protocol) is set(407-409). An incoming terminal(730) transmits an invite message to the transmitting terminal. Video data of the VOD is transmitted to the transmitting terminal(421). The transmitting terminal and the incoming terminal are voice- communicated through the VoIP(423). The media server transmits the video data of the VOD to the transmitting terminal. A BYE message is transmitted to the transmitting terminal(425). A wrapper message is transmitted to the media server(427). The media server transmits a 202 accepted message to the transmitting terminal(429). The voice data transmission of VOD is restarted(431). A 200 O.K message which is a response message of the BYE message is transmitted to the incoming terminal(433). The video data of VOD is transmitted to the transmitting terminal(435). The voice data of VOD is transmitted to the transmitting terminal(437).
