A specific section viewing limit display device of a recording medium and a method therefore are provided to limit viewing with respect to a specific section of a desired recording medium by a user efficiently. A specific section viewing limit display device of a recording medium includes a tuner(10), an image and sound processor(20), a speaker(30), a display unit(40), an optical disc(50), a controller(60), an OSD processor(70), a key input unit(80), and a memory unit(90). The key input unit transmits a key signal for reproducing the recording medium. The memory unit stores an ID of the recording medium and a password input to view a specific section of the recording medium. The OSD processor processes an OSD of a password input when the recording medium reaches the specific section. The controller receives a reproducing key signal to control reproducing of the recording medium. The controller controls the OSD processor to output the OSD of a password input.
