A latch bolt for a door lock is provided to improve durability in a portion that receives shearing load so as to increase durable life of a door lock assembly. A latch bolt for a door lock comprises a rhombic supporting piece(6) and a U type base plate(2). The rhombic supporting piece is provided with a protrusion on a side surface for improving durability of the latch bolt and fixing a spring. The U type base plate is provided with locking pieces(70) coupled to locking grooves(7) of a U type cover(4). The U type cover formed with an inclined surface is coupled inside the U type base plate so that a supporting piece groove(60) formed in the U type cover is coupled to the rhombic supporting piece of the U type base plate.
