<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a chip resistor, with which a substrate can easily and securely be cut while an unjust crack of the substrate being a material is avoided. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the chip resistor includes a process for forming the substrate 1A which is formed of a resistor material and has a plurality of easy cutting parts 11 extending in a direction (x) and a plurality of easy cutting parts 12 extending in a direction (y), a process for dividing the substrate 1A into a plurality of belt-like members by cutting it along a plurality of the easy cutting parts 11, and a process for dividing the belt-like members into a plurality of chip resistors by cutting them along a plurality of the easy cutting parts 12. The cutting easy part 11 is constituted of a pair of grooves 13 and 14 formed on a surface side and a rear side of the substrate 1A. In the grooves 13 and 14, a plurality of depth fixed parts 13a and 14a and a plurality of holes 13b and 14b deeper than the depth fixed parts 13a and 14a are alternately arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
