PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a wheel suspension from the viewpoint of weight reduction which is provided with a wheel-guiding strut having a helical compression spring (a supporting spring) and a shock absorber connected on one end to a body and on the other end to the wheel, and a transverse link, while the helical compression spring is constituted so that the helical compression spring at least partially compensates for transverse forces which are generated on the shock absorber without any compensation action of the transverse force of the helical compression spring. SOLUTION: A helical compression spring (3) is constituted and/or built in so that stress in the helical compression spring (3) is at least approximately, preferably exactly the same on the side of the spring center line (7) or the line (9) of action of the spring force.
