PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharging head which raises the energy conversion efficiency, and at the same time, reduces a power consumption, and enables a stable motion to be performed for long hours, and to provide a recording apparatus using the head. SOLUTION: This liquid discharging head makes air bubbles generated on both surfaces of a flat plate-form heating element while supporting the flat plate-form heating element under a lifted state from the internal wall surface of a flow passage. In this case, the heating element itself or the supporting section of the heating element is elastically deformed so that an impact accompanying the generation of the air bubbles may be softened.
