The method involves comparing profiles of two signals with each other, which rises in relationship with a pulsation condition pressure change of the fluid flow and at same time are recorded at non-identical places of the fluid flow or at a place of the fluid stream at different times. One signal is provided by controlling a pulsation device, by which fluid quantity flowing through a channel (12) is moved to pulsation, or a sensor for recording pressure condition of the fluid quantity, or a standard value. The other signal is provided by a downstream arranged pressure sensor. An independent claim is also included for a device for recording fluid quantity flowing through a channel.
