PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two axis rotary positioner which can easily reduce the size of the whole and can reduce a working space. SOLUTION: A second driving motor 136 is arranged so as to overlap with the outer circumferential surface of a second speed reducer 145. Therefore, the length of the positioner in the direction (the direction of B-axis) perpendicular to a horizontal axis becomes nearly equal to the sum of the axial length of a workpiece table 213 and the axial length of the second speed reducer 145 or the second driving motor 136. As a result, the turning radius of the positioner about the horizontal axis becomes small. Therefore, even when the workpiece table 213 has tilted, a fear of the interference of an industrial robot for welding or assembling the workpiece fixed on the workpiece table 213 with the second driving motor 136 can be effectively prevented.
