PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt retractor capable of keeping an acceleration sensor highly sensitive by maintaining a space between a steering wheel and a sensor lever stably without increasing the number of components.SOLUTION: An emergency lock mechanism 14 comprises: a lock member 50 engaging with a frame 11; a steering wheel 60 which is supported by a spindle 20 in a relatively rotatable manner and actuates the lock member 50 by generating a rotation delay in the spindle 20; an acceleration sensor 80 for detecting a rapid deceleration state of a vehicle; and a system cover 90 covering the emergency lock mechanism 14. A bearing cover 61 for rotatably supporting a shaft part 21 of the spindle 20 is integrally formed in the steering wheel 60. The bearing cover 61 is fitted and supported in a bearing support recess 95 of the system cover 90.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
