PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic article for dyeing a keratin substance, particularly a human keratin substance, by dry thermal transfer. SOLUTION: The cosmetic article for dyeing a keratin substance substantially in a dry state comprises a porous flexible support and one or more direct dyes or direct dye precursors in a powdery state of dyeing the keratin substance by thermal transfer, where the direct dye or the direct dye precursor is non-covalently bonded to the support on and/or in the support and the porous flexible support is a nonwoven fabric support or an expanded foam support.
