The invention relates to a particle filtering method and device which are particularly suitable for reducing pollution generated by gaseous emissions from combustion engines. The device includes an upper part (3), the bottom of which is assembled to the top of a lower part (1) intended to house an oily substance, thereby forming an essentially cylindrical hollow body. An intake means (22) conveys the gaseous emissions from the exhaust system into the aforementioned lower part where they are mixed with the oily substance. An exhaust means (21) discharges the filtered gaseous emissions. A first chamber (11, 12) for filtering and separating the mixture includes a first lower chamber (11) in the lower part (1), which in turn includes filtering elements, and a first upper chamber (12) above the first lower chamber (11) for separating the gaseous emissions from the oily substance in the filtered mixture. A second chamber (15, 16) for filtering the separated gaseous emissions includes a second lower chamber (15) above the first upper chamber (12), which in turn includes filtering elements, and a second upper chamber (16) above the second lower chamber (15) for the circulation of gaseous emissions. |
