A method and an apparatus for controlling audio amplifiers of telematics terminals are provided to enhance user convenience by setting the audio amplifiers as a power or pre amplifier according to mode selection. A first or second audio mode is selected by the request of users. At this time, a user interface of an audio amplifier is displayed. When the first audio mode is selected, the audio amplifier is set as a power amplifier(S16). When the second audio mode is selected, the audio amplifier is set as a pre amplifier(S14). The user interface is a graphic user interface, which includes icons of the first and second audio modes. The icon of the first audio mode is used for setting the audio amplifier as the power amplifier. The icon of the second audio mode is used for setting the audio amplifier as the pre amplifier. |
