摘要 <p>An apparatus and a method for allocating channels for an OFDMA system are provided to ensure service quality by lowering outage probability through the execution of bandwidth allocation and subcarrier allocation. An apparatus(100) for allocating channels for an OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) system includes a CQI(Channel Quality Indicator) receiving unit(110), a bandwidth allocating unit(120), and a subcarrier allocating unit(130). The CQI receiving unit receives channel quality information from respective mobile terminals. The bandwidth allocating unit allocates a bandwidth on the mobile terminals using the received channel quality information. The subcarrier allocating unit extracts an availability indication function from the channel quality information, calculates the number of mobile terminals based on validation of respective subcarriers and the allocated mobile terminal bandwidth, calculates diversity order as a subcarrier allocation sequence based on the validation, and allocates subcarriers according to an ascending order.</p>
