PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance productivity of an optical recording medium which is excellent in the visibility of visible information on a label face. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a stamper for an optical recording medium used in roughening a substrate composing an optical recording medium has; an electrocasting treatment process which produces a first metal layer 66 having a thickness of t≥300μm by electrocasting; and a blast treatment process which produces an original stamper 76 by roughening a part of a main surface of the first metal layer 66 by blast processing. The electrocasting treatment process has; a process to mount an electric conduction ring 52 in which an aperture is formed in a central part of the main surface of a metal master disk; and a process to form the first metal layer 66 by electrocasting over a face exposed from an aperture 50 of the electric conduction ring 52, an inner surface of the electric conduction ring 52, and a part of the main surface of the electric conduction ring 52 within the metal master disk.
