PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to use various kinds of service without using a dedicated client program prepared in each service to reduce operation cost necessary to use the service.

SOLUTION: In a gateway device 20 controlling data communication performed between a service provision device and a user terminal device, the service to bidirectionally convert data exchanged between the service provision device and the user terminal device when the service is used by the user into a format processable in each device according to the kind of the service is provided.
