The system (1) has a detection device (8) for detecting a steering-actual-variable influenced and non-influenced by a driver and corresponding to a driving region. A computing/control device (7) compares the variable with a steering-reference-variable stored in engine characteristics for a driving situation, to determine a steering-actual-variable non-influenced by the driver and make corresponding compensation for steering interferences, using an adjusting device (4). A steering booster (6) actuates the adjusting device based on an external force.
