A refrigerator with a sealed space and a control method thereof are provided to restrain the evaporation of moisture and the loosing of natural fragrance from vegetables and fruits by increasing the pressure of a chamber keeping the pressure. A refrigerator with a sealed space includes a boosting unit for raising the internal pressure of a refrigerating compartment(R) higher than the atmospheric pressure. The boosting unit has an air compressor(60) sucking atmospheric air to generate compressed air, and a boosting duct(B) for supply the compressed air to the refrigerating compartment.
