<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failure such as blackening phenomenon and the like and to improve its durability, in a lamp with a reflector having a sub-reflecting mirror at the sealer of a luminous tube in a high-pressure discharge lamp. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp with the reflector has a sub-reflecting mirror at the sealer 7R of the luminous tube 5 in the high-pressure discharge lamp. The sub-reflecting mirror is coated with a reflecting film in its inside from a diameter-expanded part at the side tightly sealed by the sealer 7R up to a position covering the extremity of an electrode 2R at the sealing side of the sealer 7R of the luminous tube 5. No reflecting film is coated in the inside of the sub-reflecting mirror from the border of the reflecting-film coated region to the opening of the sub-reflecting mirror. The opening end of the sub-reflecting mirror extends at least to the position totally covering the luminous unit 6 of the luminous tube 5, resulting in preventing failure such as blackening phenomenon and the like to improve durability of the lamp. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
