PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsification precursor having good storage stability and capable of affording an emulsion even without requiring special equipment and to provide the emulsion prepared by mixing the emulsification precursor with water. SOLUTION: The emulsification precursor comprises 100 pts.mass of a thermoplastic resin, 1-20 pts.mass of a surfactant and 0. l-30 pts.mass of water. The emulsification precursor is preferably obtained by kneading the materials in a kneader. The thermoplastic resin is preferably at least one selected from a petroleum resin, a rosin-based resin and a terpenic resin. The surfactant is preferably at least one selected from an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant and an amphoteric surfactant. The emulsification precursor is converted into the emulsion by mixing thereof with water. The resultant emulsion can be used as a pressure-sensitive adhesive. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
