<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for forming glass tubes which do not require a large installation space, simultaneously form a plurality of glass tubes or rods and increase their production amounts. <P>SOLUTION: Molten glass is fed into a plurality of sleeves (2A-2D). The molten glass in the sleeves is drawn by a plurality of tube drawing machines (4A-4D) to obtain a plurality of glass tubes (GA-GD). When the temperature of glass tubes (GA-GD) is lower than their softening temperature, they are guided into the obliquely upper direction by means of upper guiding rollers (32A-32D) and introduced into tube drawing machines (4A-4D) at heights different from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
