PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a large reflecting mirror without causing the possibility of its interference with a travel locus when circulating and moving a cage holding a pallet for loading vehicle on it in the vertical direction in a building. SOLUTION: This mechanical parking device of a vertical circulation type is constituted by providing an entryway 2 at a position closer to the left side on a front wall 1a in a first floor part of the building 1, providing a turn table 8 in the building 1, and enabling the pallet 6 for loading vehicle on it to swivel obliquely to the direction of central line of the cage 5 on the turn table 8 to carry a vehicle into and out of a parking space between the entryway 2 and it. One end part in the direction of width on the right and left sides of the reflecting mirror 12 is attached to a rear wall 1b of the building to swing freely. A reflecting mirror driving mechanism 14 for moving the reflecting mirror 12 between the attitude for bringing the reflecting mirror 12 close to the rear wall 1b of the building 1 and the attitude for deploying it to oppose the direction for driving the vehicle onto the pallet 6 on the turn table 8 properly from the entryway 2 is provided in a pit 18 provided at a position closer to the rear wall 1b of the building. When circulating the cage 5 vertically in the building 1, the reflecting mirror 12 is retracted close to the rear wall 1b of the building in advance by the reflecting mirror driving mechanism 14 to eliminate the possibility of its interference with the travel locus.
