An air-bag (1) formed of a substantially rigid material is disclosed and which is particularly intended for use as a pelvic restraint cushion in the squab of a vehicle seat. The air-bag (1) is formed with an integral vent (7,8) which can take one of a number of forms. In one embodiment, the integral vent is constituted by a pre-formed hole provided in the air-bag (1). In another embodiment, the integral vent takes the form of a burst disc (33 figure 7). When the vents (7,8) constitute pre-formed holes they may receive stud (21 figure 3) attached to inflator (20) so as to secure the inflator in place. The air-bag may be blow moulded from a plastics material or formed from metal. |
