<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance display performance of an electro-optical device of a liquid crystal device or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device includes: a transistor (30) including (i) a semiconductor layer (1a) arranged in a different layer through a scanning line (11) and a first insulation film (12) and along a Y direction, and (ii) a gate electrode (3) arranged in a layer of an opposite side of the scanning line to the semiconductor layer on a substrate (10); and an accumulation capacity (70) arranged in an upper layer side through a second insulation film (41) rather than the transistor. The first insulation film forms a contact hole (810) connecting the gate electrode and the scanning line having a first part (821) extending along a Y direction near the semiconductor layer and a second part (822) overlapping a part of the scanning line and extending in an X direction.
