PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rinsing-out type hair cosmetic which has good finger passability, when rinsed, and can impart good flexibility and smoothness to hair, after dried. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic is characterized by containing (A) a short chain alkyl ether type ester group-containing mono-long chain quaternary ammonium salt and (B) one or more ammonium salts selected from a terminal OH type short chain alkyl ether type ester group-containing di-long chain quaternary ammonium salt and an ester group-containing tri-long chain quaternary ammonium salt.
