PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster capable of switching maintainability of linear advancement and easiness of turnaround without requiring manual operation of a lever or the like. SOLUTION: The caster 1 is constituted by a support 2 for supporting a wheel 4 provided with a horizontal axle 5; and a base 3 arranged on the support 2, turnably supporting the support on a horizontal plane and having a central position of turning deviated to a position in a horizontal direction of the axle 5. The caster 1 is provided with a turning suppression means capable of suppressing turning of the support 2 by utilizing centrifugal force generated by rotation of the wheel 4. The turning suppression means is constituted by a storage vessel 31; an elastic body 36; a weight ball 34; a pop-out prevention plate 35; a contact roller 37; and a contact roller support piece 38.
