PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent composite which has a small dimensional change and a thickness variation, is excellent in transparency and optical properties, and can achieve further cost reduction, and to provide a resin substrate for display elements formed by using the transparent composite. SOLUTION: A transparent composite 1 comprises an active energy ray-curable composition 8 and an inorganic material 9, wherein the composition comprises an acrylate having a bisphenol backbone, has viscosity at 25°C of 100,000 cps or less, and has curing shrinkage of 10% or less.
