PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an outdoor unit body in the depth direction by minimizing a clearance necessary between a heat exchanger and a motor for a blower by changing the shape and organization of the heat exchanger. SOLUTION: This outdoor unit comprises the main body 1, and the heat exchanger 4 disposed in a state of covering the entire face of an air suction face 3 of an air distribution chamber 2 inside of the main body 1, the heat exchanger 4 is vertical divided into a plurality of pieces, and the heat exchanger 4a disposed on a part corresponding to a position of the motor 6 for the blower is thinner than the other heat exchangers 4b, 4c, to form a recessed portion 9 at an air distribution chamber 2 side with respect to the air suction face 3 of the heat exchanger 4. Thus the motor 6 for the blower can be disposed in adjacent to the heat exchanger 4a without kept into contact therewith by just thinning of the heat exchanger 4, and the dimension in the depth direction of the outdoor unit body 1 can be reduced to be miniaturized.
