摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction air quantity predicting device for an internal combustion engine enabling accurate suction air quantity prediction as compared to former devices. SOLUTION: In the suction air quantity predicting device for the internal combustion engine 1, wherein quantity of suction air passing through a throttle valve is calculated by using upstream side suction air pressure upstream of the throttle valve 6 and downstream side suction air pressure downstream of the throttle valve, and quantity of suction air is predicted based on the quantity of suction air passing through the throttle valve, the upstream side suction air pressure used for calculating the quantity of suction air passing through the throttle valve is detected or calculated taking in consideration a pressure loss in at least an air-cleaner, to the atmospheric pressure.
