PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measuring sensor which partially and forcefully suppresses primary-oscillation-mode waves of transmission signals and reception signals, reliably receives and amplifies reception signals, and accurately measures the distance to an object at a close distance. SOLUTION: The distance measuring sensor 10 is provided with: a supporting part 11; a seating 12 mounted to the supporting part 11; a PZT oscillator 13 mounted to the seating 12; a resonance plate 14 mounted to the PZT oscillator 13 for emitting transmission signals being resonating waves, to the object by resonating with oscillations of the PZT oscillator 13; a cone part 15 mounted to the side opposite to the PZT oscillator 13 for receiving and amplifying reflected signals reflected at the object; and a damping material 16 for partially and forcefully suppressing primary-oscillation-mode waves of transmission signals and reception signals.
