BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY, DRIVING METHOD OF THE SAME AND DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A backlight assembly, a method of driving the backlight assembly and a display device having the backlight assembly are provided to drive red, green and blue lamps having high color reproducibility sequentially to display a color image using a temporal color-mixing technique. A backlight assembly(400) includes a red lamp(R), a green lamp(G), a blue lamp(B), and a lamp driver. The red lamp generates red light and the green lamp generates green light. The blue lamp generates blue light. The lamp driver controls the red, green and blue lamps to sequentially generates the red light, the green light and the blue light.
