<p>A light emitting device having a plurality of wavelength change material layers is provided to prevent the loss of light due to a phosphor material by disposing a short wavelength change material upon a long wavelength change material. An LED(23) is disposed on a base(20), and emits light of a first wavelength. A transparent molding unit(25) covers the LED. A lower part wavelength change material layer(27) containing a phosphor material is disposed on the transparent molding unit, and converts the light of the first wavelength into the light of a second wavelength which is longer than the first wavelength. An upper part wavelength change material layer(29) is disposed on the lower part wavelength change material layer, and converts the light of the first wavelength into the light of a third wavelength.</p> |
