A three dimensional image display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve a contrast ratio and quality of an image by preventing emission of unwanted light. A three dimensional image display device includes a display panel(50) and a three dimensional image display panel(100). The three dimensional image display panel includes a first substrate(140), a second substrate(190), and a liquid crystal layer(150). The first substrate includes a first electrode layer(120) on a first substrate material(110). The second substrate includes a refractive layer(180) with a depressed unit(180a) and a flat unit(180b) on a second substrate material(160) and is oppositely attached to the first substrate. A blocking layer(200) is formed on a region corresponding to the flat unit between the first and second substrates to block light.
