An AC/DC compatible PLC input module is provided to enhance a process efficiency by delivering both AC and DC signals to a calculating portion of a CPU(Central Processing Unit) using a single PLC input module. An AC/DC compatible PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) input module includes an input voltage processor(210) and an input signal generator(120). The input voltage processor rectifies an AC voltage, which is inputted from outside, and outputs a DC voltage, when a DC voltage is inputted from outside. The input signal generator includes a photodiode and a photo transistor and generates a signal by using the photo transistor and delivers the generated signal to a calculator. The photodiode emits light in response to the output voltage from the input voltage processor. The photo transistor is turned on when the photodiode emits light.
