Intended is to provide a urinal which can prevent the emission of an offensive order, which can reduce the quantity of rinsing water to be used therein, and which can prevent its drainage system from being closed. The urinal comprises a human body detecting sensor (7), a control device (11), a mechanism (14) for generating a gas having a strong rinsing power, a gas passage (La), through which the gas of the strong rinsing power generated flows, and a rinsing water feeding line (Lw), in which the rinsing water flows. The gas passage (La) and the rinsing water feeding line (Lw) merge so that the gas of the strong rinsing power and the rinsing water may be mixed, and a rinsing fluid passage (Lc) of the gas passage (La) and the rinsing water feeding line (Lw) communicates with a rinsing fluid exit (5) of a urinal upper edge portion (1a).
