<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus that can limit file transmission according to preset conditions and keeps user operability intact. <P>SOLUTION: A search part 2 searches for files on a network according to search conditions and displays the search results on a display part 3. A user selects a file to be transmitted and sets a destination and the like on an operation part 4. A determination part 5 automatically determines whether the file selected by the user is allowed to be transmitted or not according to transmission determination conditions preset and stored in a transmission determination condition storage part 6. A communication part 1 transmits a file found allowed to be transmitted to the destination. Communication limit conditions can be set as the transmission determination conditions to prevent file transmission exceeding the limits.
