摘要 <p>A carbon nanotube field emitter and a method for fabricating the same are provided to protect a carbon nanotube from a crash of gas/ion by designing the carbon nanotube field emitter with a three-dimensional structure. Two electrode plates face to each other. Carbon nano tubes(30) are formed on both surfaces of the electrode plates. A substrate(15) is vertically fixed and contacted with each side of the electrode plates. An anode electrode(20) is installed side by side to be separated from the substrate. The anode electrode has a fluorescent substance(21) facing the substrate. A direct current power applies a DC(Direct Current) voltage between the anode electrode and the electrode plates. Pulse wave supplying equipment(60) applies periodically a pulse wave showing a different amplitude of a voltage to one of the electrode plates and the others, so that the electrode plates perform a cathode electrode role and a gate role by turns.</p>
