A METHOD OF CALCULATING CAPACITY OF TRANSFORMERS USING THE LEAST SQUARE METHOD

A method for calculating capacity of transformers using a least square method is provided to predict a future usage of the transformers by seizing a correlation of demand rate defined according to types of businesses. A method for calculating capacity of transformers using a least square method includes the steps of: calculating the maximum power per day used in power distribution equipment for one year; calculating the maximum power per hour in the power distribution equipment for one day; calculating a synthesized DR(Demand Rate) per day by dividing the measured maximum power by the total capacity of the power distribution equipment; calculating the synthesized DR and an iTDR(index of Transformer Demand Rate) per day by dividing an average of the measured maximum power by the capacity of the transformers; detecting a correlation of the synthesized DR and iTDR by applying the least square method; and calculating the iTDR according to the synthesized DR.
