The utility model relates to menÆs short trunks, in particular slips or boxers, and it finds application in the tailoring industry for the manufacture of menÆs underwear and menÆs bathing drawers. The trunks consist of a front portion (1) and a back portion (2) connected to each other by side vertical stitches (15) and a stitch (3) closing the bottom of the trunks, such stitches being made using a four-thread overlock. The front portion (1) consists of three parts û two mirror side parts (8 and 9) shaping the legs, and one middle part (4) representing a yoke that covers the genitals. In the boxer-type trunks, the yoke (4) is trapezium-shaped. On the areas of joining the yoke (4) with the other two mirror parts (8 and 9) of the front portion (1), a facial seam is made using a triplet with an upper and a lower knitter. The waistband (11) enfolding the waist consists of an elastic band. It is attached to the trunks by means of a four-thread overlock seam, on which there is a facial seam (10) made using a triplet with an upper and a lower knitter. The seams (12) of the leg hems of the boxer-type trunks are made only on an upper and lower knitter triplet. In an embodiment, there is a figure (13) or an inscription (14) on the front portion of the yoke (4) that are either embroidered or appliqued.
