The invention relates to the heat engineering, in particular to the water heaters that may be used in the independent heating and hot water supply. The water heater comprises a hollow body (1) with bottom (2) and removable cover (3). Into the body walls there are fixed inlet (4) and outlet (5) branch pipes and a thermal element (6) mounted into the body (1) along its whole length onto a holder (7). Novelty consists in that the body (1) includes coaxially placed the interior (8) and exterior (9) shells, forming a hermetic intershell cavity for heated medium passage. The inlet branch pipe (4) is fixed from the end of the body (1) bottom (2) and communicates with the intershell cavity, and the outlet branch pipe (5) is fixed in the upper part of the body (1), from the end of the removable cover (3). The thermal element (6) is made in the form of ceramic infrared radiator and fixed onto the holder (7), which has one end mounted onto the removable cover (3) and the other end û onto the bottom of the interior shell (8) of the body (1). Into the removable cover (3) there is installed a water heater running regime control unit (10).
