An electronic thermometer constituted by a probe tip 25 measuring the temperature of a subject and a flex circuit consisting of a deformable electrically conductive substrate 33 connected to one or more temperature sensors for detecting the temperature of the probe. The end of the probe shaft is configured to receive the flex circuit in a final position by deforming it around four posts 56a,59b,59c,59d thus removing the need for an epoxy.
