Human anti-IFN-gamma neutralizing antibodies as selective IFN-gamma pathway inhibitors

Disclosed is an isolated antibody that specifically binds to IFN-gamma (interferon-gamma), comprising a heavy chain CDR3 having an amino acid sequence comprising SEQ ID NO:36 or a variant of SEQ ID NO: 36 having a single amino acid substitution. The antibodies are useful in the treatment of IFN-gamma mediated disease. Also disclosed are polynucleotides encoding the antibodies, vectors comprising the polynucleotide and host cells containing the vector.
