<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: though it is possible to output various kinds of media from a printer by development of technology, a user cannot decide a medium printing which causes an optimum result by only vague desire of the user because a plurality of media are present in a category of the same medium kind in numerous cases; and because the medium kind has a great variety, it is difficult to decide a characteristic of the medium from a medium name displayed on a print UI. <P>SOLUTION: Analysis and decision of data to be output are performed by a data decision means, and an output medium is automatically set by a media setting means.
