<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction input device for changing the capacitance of a capacitive element by changing a distance between electrodes formed in the capacitive element according to a slide direction (that is, input direction) in which an input part is made to slide. <P>SOLUTION: This direction input device for detecting an input direction according to the capacity change of a capacitive element is provided with an input part configured to slide in a horizontal direction according to an inputtable input direction; a capacitive element equipped with variable electrodes and fixed electrodes for detecting an input direction input to the input part; and one or more movable parts configured to move downward according to the sliding direction of the input part for moving the movable electrodes corresponding to the input direction input to the input part downward according to that movement to make the movable electrodes move close to the opposite fixed electrodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
