<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the thickness/shape in cold rolling for maintaining the thickness accuracy by constantly controlling the rolling load, and enhancing the flatness of a rolled material in its longitudinal direction in order to solve problems of defective shape and defective thickness of a material to be rolled in a low-speed rolling range when the rolling is started and immediately before the rolling is completed. <P>SOLUTION: A rolling load P in a final n-th rolling stand of a single stand rolling mill or a continuous stand rolling mill and a thickness (h) on the outlet side are measured by a rolling load measuring means 2 and a thickness measuring instrument 1 to calculate rolling load deviationΔP and thickness deviationΔh from a target rolling load Pa and a target thickness ha, respectively. In order to control the rolling load P and the thickness h to predetermined values (preset values), a rolling-reduction control amountΔS and a tension control amountΔσare obtained. The rolling-reduction control and the tension control of the final stand of the single stand rolling mill or the continuous stand (tandem) rolling mill are performed at the same timing so as to satisfy the control amountsΔS andΔσ. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
